Appearance
A paused account is deleted automatically after its grace period. Deletion removes everything and cannot be undone.
Overview
There is no delete button in the app. An account is deleted in one of two ways:
- Automatically, when it stays paused past the grace period. The date shows on Billing, and the billing email is warned 7 days and 1 day before.
- By TekStacks support, on request.
Deletion removes the company and everything in it: equipment, employees, documentation, files, history and the activity log. Files TekStacks stored are deleted too. Files in your own storage bucket stay there; they are yours (see Using your own storage). A custom domain is removed.
Requirements
- Role: Admin, to cancel the plan (Plan and billing).
Steps: close your account
- Download your records first (see Data export).
- Open Administration, then Billing, and click Manage billing: payment method, invoices, cancel.
- Cancel the subscription in Stripe's portal.
Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for. Then the account is paused, and deleted after the grace period.
To have it deleted sooner, ask TekStacks support through Help and feedback.
Note: TekStacks support does not delete a company that is still paying. Cancel the subscription first.
