Create your company's TekStacks account and start the free trial. No payment details are needed.

Overview

Signing up creates three things at once: your company's account at its own address, such as yourcompany.tekstacks.com, your user with the Admin role, and a starting set of roles, statuses and checklists. Your free trial starts the moment you confirm your email address.

• An email address you can read now. The trial waits for you to confirm it.

Steps

1. On tekstacks.com, click Start free trial. If you clicked Start free trial on one plan on the pricing page, the form says which plan your trial runs on.
2. Fill in the form:
   • Your name and Email.
   • Company (optional). Leave it blank if this is just for you; your own name is used instead.
   • Subdomain: your account's address. TekStacks suggests one from the company name, and shows the full address under the field. Use 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
   • Whose equipment will you track? Choose Our own for in-house IT at a company, school or office, or Our clients' if you are an MSP or repair shop looking after other companies. Choosing Our clients' starts the trial on the MSP plan, with clients turned on.
   • Password and Confirm password.
3. Click Create account. You are signed in at your new address.
4. Open the email titled Confirm your email to start your trial and click Confirm email address. Your trial starts at once, and a second email says how many days it lasts and when it ends.

Note: Until you confirm your email, every page sends you to Verify your email. Click Send the link again there if the first email does not arrive. The link in the email works for 60 minutes.

Note: Your time zone is taken from your browser when you sign up. Change it later under Administration, Settings (see Company settings).

What to do next

1. Invite your team.
2. Add equipment, and import your employees from a CSV file.
3. Add a passkey or an authenticator app so you can skip the emailed code.

Troubleshooting

"That subdomain is taken." Another company has it. Try a different one.

"That subdomain is not available. Try another." Some names are reserved for TekStacks itself or blocked. Choose another.

"Use one hyphen at a time." or "Include at least one letter." A subdomain cannot contain two hyphens in a row, start or end with a hyphen, or be only digits.

"Too many sign ups for this email. Try again later." Several sign ups were tried for the same address in the last hour. Wait and try again, or sign in to the account you already made.

The trial did not start after confirming. Each email address and company email domain gets one free trial. If yours already had one, the account opens on Billing so you can choose a plan.

FAQ

Can I change my subdomain later? Not from the app. Ask TekStacks support through Help and feedback. You can also add an address of your own with a custom domain.

Do I need a credit card for the trial? No. You only enter payment details when you choose a plan.
