Offer a device your company added to the shared library. A Manager at your company approves it, then TekStacks support reviews it before other companies see it.

Overview

A submission moves through these steps:

1. Your company's: the device is yours alone.
2. Waiting for a Manager: someone submitted it, and a user who can approve submissions has not yet.
3. Waiting for TekStacks: approved at your company, waiting for TekStacks support.
4. In the library: accepted. It joins as Community and is verified by three companies like any other entry.

A submission can be Turned down here, by a Manager at your company, or Turned down by TekStacks. Either way it goes back to being your company's own, with the reason shown, and you can edit and submit it again.

You keep using the device on your equipment the whole time.

Requirements

• Role: Submit the company's own devices to the shared device library to submit (Admin, Manager and Technician by default). Approve device library submissions before they go to TekStacks to approve or turn down (Admin and Manager by default).

Step 1: Submit a device

1. In the sidebar, open Device library, All devices. The Added by your company filter set to Only yours lists your own devices.
2. On the device's row, click Submit to the library.
3. Read the confirmation and click Submit it.

TekStacks confirms with Submitted and "Follow it under Your submissions." If you can approve submissions yourself, it goes straight to TekStacks support. Otherwise your company's Admins are emailed that one is waiting.

Step 2: Approve or turn down a submission

1. In the sidebar, open Device library, Your submissions. The menu shows how many are waiting.
2. On a row marked Waiting for a Manager, click Approve, check the details, and click Approve again. TekStacks confirms with Sent to TekStacks.
3. To refuse it, click Turn down, enter a Reason, shown to whoever submitted it, and click Turn down.

Following your submissions

Your submissions lists every device your company submitted, with its Status, who submitted it and when. Filter by Status to see only one step. When TekStacks support turns a submission down, your company's Admins are emailed the reason.

Notes

Note: If the library already has the device by the time you submit or approve it, TekStacks says "The library already has this device." Use the existing entry instead.

Note: TekStacks support can turn off device library submissions for a company, for example after submissions turned down for inappropriate content. Your submissions then says so, and your own devices keep working as before. A submission turned down for abuse cannot be submitted again.

FAQ

Can I edit a device while it waits? No. Edit it before you submit, or after it is turned down.

Does my company count toward verifying its own submission? Yes. Once accepted, your submission counts as your company's verification when your company is past its free trial.
