Print a temporary paper tag that says what a device is waiting for: ready to deploy, a loaner due back, wipe before disposal, or wiped and ready for disposal. Each tag carries the device's QR code.

Overview

A status tag is not the permanent asset label. It is a short lived tag you stick on a device on the bench or the shelf, so anyone can see its state at a glance. The details are read from the equipment each time you print.

Step 2: Print tags for many devices

  1. On the Equipment list, tick the devices.
  2. Choose Print status tags from the bulk actions.
  3. Leave Tag empty and each device gets the tag for where it is, or pick one tag for all.
  4. Pick the size and file, and click Print.

Disposed equipment in the selection is skipped.

  • A device in stock: Ready to deploy.

See Retiring equipment for the retirement checklist and the drive wipe.
