Appearance

Every laptop, desktop, phone and server: what it is, who has it, what covers it and when it is due to be replaced, with labels that scan.

Equipment ​

  • Equipment: the Equipment list, filters, and each piece of equipment's page.
  • Adding equipment: the equipment form, with details filled from the device library.
  • Search and scan: find equipment by tag or serial, with a handheld scanner or your phone's camera.
  • Warranty contracts: one purchase of coverage for several devices.
  • Unreturned equipment: equipment that should have come back and has not.

Lifecycle ​

  • Assigning and returning: hand equipment to an employee with its accessories, and check it back in.
  • Loans: lend equipment with a due back date and reminders.
  • History: who had it, where it was and what changed.
  • Retiring equipment: take equipment out of service, record the wipe and dispose of it.

Labels ​

  • Labels and QR codes: print a QR label for any equipment with an asset tag.
  • Label templates: your own label sizes, Code 128 barcodes, PDF and ZPL.
  • Status tags: temporary tags for ready to deploy, loaner due back, wipe before disposal and wiped.
  • Lost and found: the page someone sees when they scan a lost device's label.

Lists you set up ​

  • Types and makes: the kinds of equipment you track and who builds them.
  • Statuses: the states equipment can be in.
  • Custom fields: details TekStacks has no field for.
  • Locations: where equipment lives and where people work.
  • Departments: the teams your employees belong to.
  • Accessories: chargers, docks and anything else that goes out with equipment.
  • Vendors: who you buy from, with their support contacts.
  • Tag series: number asset tags for you, or check a batch of labels.
